Rooftops Canada /Abri International requires a Senior Technical Advisor to work with WAT Human Settlements Trust in Tanzania. The Advisor will help implement a pilot housing microfinance program including the design and delivery of housing micro-loan products and related housing support services.

Candidates should have considerable experience in: housing development and housing finance related to social and/or co-op housing; program management including staff support and supervision; and, the design and implementation of capacity building programs for social/co-op housing development and management. Very strong English language communications skills and adaptability to cross cultural settings are essential. Previous micro-finance and international experience are important assets.

This is a two-year contract position based in Dar Es Salaam starting in January 2009, earlier if possible. Salary/benefits will depend on experience and CIDA norms.
