This joint training package for trainers on cooperatives on the elimination of hazardours child labour was developed by ICA and the International Labour Organisation Coperative Programme (ILO COOP) and the International Programme on the Elimination of Child Labour (IPEC) as a follow-up to their joint publication, Cooperating out of child labour.
The two book package contains a trainers guide and training course activities for co-operatives. It is designed to help co-operatives learn about hazardous child labour and eliminate it in their business activities and in the communities where they are based. To order please see:

The guide is designed to introduce the international policy guideline International Labour Organisation (ILO) Recommendation 193 which provides a framework for co-operatives in the 21st century. The guide helps understand how the 'Recommendation' provides a basis for law and policies on co-operatives as well as how and why there is a need to campaign for co-operatives. Designed to be used in all parts of the world, the publication is written in a simple format to enable ease in translation. It is the result of a collaborative effort of the Co-operative College of the United Kingdom, the International Labour Office (ILO) and the International Co-operative Alliance (ICA).

Two Hours on Gender Issues in Co-operatives: An introductory session on gender issues for co-operative leaders |
This is a guide for trainer or moderators on how to design a two-hour introductory session on gender issues in co-operatives for co-operative leaders and policy makers. The main aim of the "Gender Package" is to generate increased gender awareness and to encourage the integration of gender issues in co-operative development. The package contains a sensitisation module accompanied by transparencies which assist the user in the preparation of a gender session. It also contains a poster which can be displayed to promote the sensitisation session, as well as leaflets which can be distributed to participants after the session. The package exists in English, French and Spanish (see below).

Leadership Training Manual for Women Leaders of Co-operatives
This training manual was developed jointly by the ICA Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific through its Regional Women’s Committee, and the International Labour Office (ILO). It is designed to be used by co-operative trainers and aims at facilitating gender equity and equality at all levels of co-operatives. The manual consists of seven modules, comprising several units, and draws upon existing ILO tools on gender analysis, equality, and development. The topics broadly cover fundamentals of co-operatives, gender sensitisation and self transformation, leadership, coping with challenges, organisation and enterprise management.
