It is with great pleasure that I would like to personally welcome each of you to Malaysia for the Alliance's Global Conference and General Assembly to be held in Kuala Lumpur from 14 - 17 November 2017. It’s an exciting time for ANGKASA as we continue to grow and remaining always adaptable, motivated and responsive in our accord to demonstrate our commitment and responsibility to drive the Malaysian co-operative movement as the business model of choice for the local community.
Delegates to Malaysia can expect to experience a multicultural melting pot of customs and cultures, renowned for their hospitality towards visitors from around the world. As the nation’s capital, Kuala Lumpur is the financial, education and economic centre of Malaysia. Visitors to this city can expect to see a kaleidoscope of fascinating sights and sounds that typifies a buzzing modern metropolis that is at the same time steeped in rich traditional culture and heritage.
ANGKASA opens the door to many opportunities in the world market by assisting the local co-operatives in market research, product development and branding, and introducing them to the international market. Delegates can expect a showcase of Malaysian co-operatives at our bi-annual exhibition; Malaysian Carnival of Co-operatives Products and Services (MACCOPS); which will also takes place as a side event during the conference.
We are truly excited to have the opportunity to work closely with the Alliance in hosting the largest co-operative gathering in Malaysia next year.
