Building a Better World Together is a collaborative publication produced by the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) and the Committee for the Promotion and Advancement of Cooperatives (COPAC) with contributions from ICA’s regional organisations, sectoral organisations and thematic committees. Edited as a series of policy briefs during the United Nations International Year of Cooperatives 2025 (IYC), this report documents and highlights the diverse ways in which cooperatives contribute to the achievement of each and everyone of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through evidence, case studies and practical examples from around the world, demonstrating their contribution to inclusive economic development, social progress, community resilience and environmental sustainability. This publication forms part of the legacy of the IYC2025, under the theme “Cooperatives Build a Better World.”
